With summer upon us, the Israel Cancer Association has launched skin cancer awareness week, aimed at prevention and early detection of the disease. From June 17th to the 23rd, free skin cancer screenings will be offered at hundreds of locations around the country, in cooperation with the major health funds. According to the Israel Cancer Association, the awareness campaign has played a key role in lowered skin cancer incidence rates in Israel compared to other countries around the world. KAN's Naomi Segal heard more from Dana Frost, health promotion specialist at the Israel Cancer Association.
