With a week to go before the deadline for parties to submit their lists for the upcoming elections for  the 22nd Knesset, a picture of the campaign landscape is beginning to emerge.

On the center-left side of the spectrum, former prime minister Ehud Barak's Democratic Israel party, Meretz's Nitzan Horowitz and Stav Shaffir of Labor spearheaded the Democratic Camp alliance. On the right, smaller parties have been wrangling over terms of cooperation – with the same eye on not wasting any votes in the September 17th ballot.
