The body of Dvir Sorek (18), from the West Bank settlement of Ofra, was discovered in the early hours of Thursday morning by the side of the road between Efrat and Migdal Oz in the Etzion bloc, south of Jerusalem.

Sorek, who signed up for a Hesder combat unit , which combines military service with Torah study, was making his way back from Jerusalem to his yeshiva in Efrat. The army suspect he was stabbed to death when an attempted kidnapping went wrong.

He was wearing civilian clothes and was unarmed.

KAN's Mark Weiss spoke about Dvir Sorek with Aaron Lipkin, spokesman for the Ofra settlement.
