A first delivery of thousands of masks for Israeli medical personnel, who have been on the frontline in fighting the coronavirus outbreak, was due to arrive from China  – the result of a grassroots, crowd-funded effort begun just a week ago. Miriam Lottner, a content developer who also has her own educational games company, was moved to act after learning from a co-worker that his wife, a doctor at an Israeli hospital, had only one mask per shift. Tapping into her contacts and knowledge of doing business with China, Lottner along with other partners was able to coordinate the purchase and shipment to Israel of the much-needed masks. She spoke to KAN's Naomi Segal about the emergency relief project.
