Many of the state’s most dramatic and iconic moments have been captured by film, from the declaration of statehood by David Ben Gurion to political upheavals and the liberation of the Western Wall during the 1967 Six Days War. Now, KAN has begun colorizing some of this historical footage, using modern technology to try and transform the grainy images into how they really appeared. Called Black and White, Blue and White, the first clip has just been released. Reporter Arieh O’Sullivan spoke with Amir Ben-Sira, head of content development at KAN, about the endeavor.
