The Arava district of Israel has marked a milestone this week, with 100 percent of its day-time energy needs produced from solar power. Yossi Abramowitz the CEO of Energiya global which set up the solar power in the Arava, says that the goal is to have solar energy produce if not all of Israel’s energy, then at least the government-declared 30 percent by 2030. He spoke with reporter Arieh O’Sullivan.
