Israel on alert due to the threat by Hezbollah to respond to the killing of one of its fighters in an air raid early Tuesday near the Syrian capital of Damascus. The Shiite terrorist organization could retaliate with anti-tank rockets or a drone attack but would not want the situation to escalate. This according to IDF reserve Lt.-Col. Sarit Zehavi, CEO and founder of Alma research and education center. Zehavi said Israel’s efforts to prevent Hezbollah from getting precision guided rockets was largely successful, but any action in Syria was risking war with Hezbollah.
