US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is due to visit Israel on Monday for talks expected to address Iran as well as the US-brokered normalization agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. The visit comes less than a week after Pompeo announced that the United States had triggered a process to restore all UN sanctions on Iran, a move lauded by Israel's prime minister. KAN's Naomi Segal spoke with Prof. Gerald Steinberg, professor of political science emeritus at Bar-Ilan University, about the upcoming visit, as well as the snapback sanctions.
