The coronavirus pandemic sweeping the world has presented an opportunity for bringing back to the Jewish state some of the over 33,000 Israeli scientists from abroad. Science Abroad is an Israeli NGO helping to bring them back through its social networking and communities linking these scientists together and opening doors for their return and helping them receive funding. Dr. Michal Arad, an advisor in the lab of prof. Schwartz in the Weizmann Institute of Science and co-founder of the Alumni organization of Science Abroad, told reporter Arieh O’Sullivan that this tumultuous time of a global pandemic was ripe for returning some of these scientists.
