October was international awareness month for Rett Syndrome, a neurodevelopmental disorder that primarily affects girls. They are known as "Silent Angels," because many of those with the syndrome are unable to speak. Prof. Meir Lotan, of the department of physiotherapy at Ariel University, has been working for nearly three decades with girls with Rett Syndrome. He recently published a new guide with his treatment insights, and told KAN reporter Naomi Segal about developments in therapeutic intervention.
