As the coronavirus cabinet continues deliberations on the exit from lockdown, Prof. Asher Elhayani, a former CEO of the Meuhedet HMO and former director of Meir hospital in Kfar Saba who is currently a senior lecturer at Ariel University, thinks the government needs to switch gears in its approach toward handling the pandemic. He told KAN reporter Naomi Segal the response should be driven by common sense and not panic scenarios, which he said were not borne out, and which led to the lockdowns which have been so damaging to Israeli society.
