Saeb Erekat, the longtime chief Palestinian negotiator with Israel, has died of complications from coronavirus. He was 65 years old. Erekat was involved in every round of peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians since the 1990s, and was a key negotiator in the Oslo process. He was harshly critical of the recent normalization agreements between Israel and Gulf states.

Yossi Beilin, a former justice minister and Israeli peace negotiator, spoke to KAN reporter Naomi Segal about Erekat.
