The Jewish-American spy, Jonathan Pollard, arrived at Ben Gurion Airport on Wednesday in the company of his wife, Esther, five years after his release from prison and after he served a 30-year sentence for spying on behalf of the Israel.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed the Pollards upon their arrival in Israel and gave the new Israeli citizen his Israeli ID card.

Jonathan Pollard said he was ecstatic to be home at last, after 35 years.

KAN's Mark Weiss asked attorney Nizana Darshan Leitner, who  was active in the legal campaign to free Jonathan Pollard, if she ever thought she would see this day.
