The issue of climate change and social inequality may have been pushed a bit to the side of the public agenda by the coronavirus pandemic, but here in Israel the Green New Deal for Israel Movement is surging ahead to get the government and businesses to change policy and tackle climate change, create green jobs and reduce inequality. Bryan Meadan, a climate activist and part of the Green New Deal for Israel Movement, told reporter Arieh O’Sullivan that Israel could certainly be an example for the world in creating “climate justice.”
