While universities are now able to open classes on campus it will take a while before students will be back in lecture halls and a vibrant campus life resume. Ben-Gurion University of the Negev will continue remote learning until Passover, after which hybrid and in-person teaching commences, in accordance with Purple Label guidelines. Rector of the University Chaim Hames said that they have seen an increase in applications for studies during this time of the coronavirus pandemic. He told reporter Arieh O’Sullivan that a special task force established on Ben Gurion University was hard at work researching ways to improve lives during the time of corona.
