With restrictions on travel abroad over the past pandemic year, many Israelis headed between lockdowns to the country's hiking trails, discovering – or rediscovering, Israel's stunning natural landscape.  Photographer Udi Goren's photo book, "A Walk of the Land," documents his two and a half month long journey along Israel's National Trail. Goren set off on the trek in 2014, after finding himself at a personal crossroads. In the book, he shares the images he took and the insights he gleaned during the 1000-kilometer trip from Israel's northern border to the country's southern tip in Eilat. An English-language version of the book is in the works. Goren spoke to KAN reporter Naomi Segal about the journey.
