The Israeli navy has a new warship. The INH Oz, a corvette class vessel, was handed over to the Israel Navy in the Kiel shipyards in Germany. Built by ThyssenKrupp and the German Naval yards, the INH Oz is the second of four Saar 6 warships being built for the navy in Germany. The handing over ceremony was attended by Israeli Ambassador to Germany Jeremy Issacharoff and his wife Laura “Christened” the vessel. She told reporter Arieh O'Sullivan it was particularly moving for her as a daughter of a Holocaust survivor to have the honor to launch the mighty warship in Germany.
