Jerusalem continues to be Israel's largest city, with a population approaching one million, and represents the second-largest economy in Israel after Tel Aviv, according to an annual statistical yearbook released ahead of Jerusalem Day, which will be observed next week. According to the yearbook, compiled by the Jerusalem Institute for Policy Research, Jerusalem's population currently numbers 952,000 – 62 percent of resident Jewish, and 38 percent Arab. Meanwhile, the negative migration trend continues. KAN reporter Naomi Segal heard more about the findings from Yair Assaf-Shapira, a researcher at the Jerusalem Institute for Policy Research.
