Foreign Minister Yair Lapid has vowed to repair ties between Israel and what he described as “angry” Democrats in the US, saying Israel’s standing in the West had taken a beating under former prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Speaking earlier this week at a ceremony where he took over as foreign minister from Blue and White’s Gabi Ashkenazi, Lapid accused Netanyahu of “careless and dangerous,” management of relations with the Democratic party.
KAN's Mark Weiss spoke with Moshe Chertoff from Democrats Abroad , Israel and asked him if Lapid was correct when he described Democrats as angry.
