For the first time ever, the International Cannabinoid Research Society's 31st Annual Symposium is being held in Israel this week. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and global travel restrictions, the world's largest global forum for cannabinoid research is being held in a virtual format. Along with plenaries and presentations on a broad range of cannabinoid-related topics, including autoimmune disease, epilepsy, pain management, PTSD, obesity and cancer, the event will host a 90th birthday celebration for the pioneer of cannabis research, Hebrew University of Jerusalem Prof. Raphael Mechoulam.  KAN reporter Naomi Segal heard more about the conference from Prof. Yossi Tam, director of Hebrew University's Multidisciplinary Center for Cannabinoid Research, which is hosting the conference.
