Following an uptick in coronavirus cases driven by the spread of the Delta variant, Israeli authorities are stepping up screening at Ben Gurion airport, tightening quarantine enforcement and have called on parents to vaccinate their 12-15 year old children. Deliberations are also underway on whether mask-wearing requirements and other coronavirus regulations should be reinated.

KAN reporter Naomi Segal spoke about the recent developments with Prof. Shai Ashkenazi, Dean of the Adelson School of Medicine at Ariel University and an expert on infectious disease, asking first about concerns some parents might have  about vaccinating their children.
