Ben Gurion University has established Center for Food Security in the Desert that is aimed at enhancing water security in arid and semi-arid regions. The new “Moshe Mirilashvili Center” is to focus on exploring new ways to conserve, treat and recycle water. Reporter Arieh O’Sullivan spoke with Ben Gurion University President Prof. Daniel Chamovitz about the new center and the ways it will help develop technologies to feed people in the growing arid world.
