The state attorney has announced a retrial for Roman Zadorov, who was convicted twice for the 2006 murder of 13-year-old Tair Rada. Zadorov has spent more than a decade in prison for the murder of the teen, whose body was found in her school's bathroom. He continues to claim he was wrongly convicted. Rada’s murder case has long gripped the public, due both to the brutal way in which she was killed, and continuing claims by some that it was not Zadorov who committed the murder.

KAN reporter Naomi Segal asked Prof. Oded Mudrik, a retired vice president of the Tel Aviv District Court who is currently a professor of law at Ariel University and a special adviser to the AYR law office, why the decision was made to retry the case.
