With an upsurge of anti-Semitism in the United States, the Jewish Federations of North America is stepping up its efforts to combat it and raise protection for Jewish communities there. It announced a 54 million dollar campaign to fun community security initiatives at all of the Federations in North America. Rebecca Caspi, director general of the Jewish Federations of North America Israel office, said the money would be used to inject higher levels of security into all parts of the organized Jewish communities.  She told reporter Arieh O’Sullivan that it would not have an impact on their fundraising sent to Israel.
