A new study by the Israel Democracy Institute on  Haredi housing in Israel finds that the financial burden now, more than in the past, falls  on young couples; monthly mortgage payments are higher than among the general public; investment in real estate is declining; apartments are larger and more expensive and debts are on the rise.

KAN's Mark Weiss spoke about the survey with Dr Gilad Malach, the director of the Ultra-Orthodox in Israel program at the Israel Democracy Institute.
