Israel will crack down on  vacation rental apartments  as part of a comprehensive plan to slow down rising housing prices.

The plan presented by Finance Minister Avigdor Liberman,  Housing Minister Ze’ev Elkin and Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked includes 17 different measures.

Many of them have been made public or are included in the Economic Arrangements bill accompanying the budget, which is awaiting Knesset approval.

Owners of Airbnb and other short term rental apartments are angry and warn that the decision will put them out of business.

KAN's Mark Weiss spoke with Shai Kedar , CEO and owner of Beach Apartments TLV.
