Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he and Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed in their recent talks in Moscow on the establishment of a joint team, together with other elements, to advance the goal of the withdrawal of foreign forces that arrived in Syria after the outbreak of the civil war there.

Tel Aviv University Professor Zeev Khanin, an expert on Russia and Israel, told KAN's Arieh O'Sullivan that Putin is  interested in working with Israel to reduce the Iranian presence in Syria.
