Pope Francis has announced that the Vatican will open the archives of Pius XII next year, thus allowing historians to shed light on the pontiff during World War II and his response to the Holocaust.

KAN's Arieh O'Sullivan asked Dr. Iael Nidam-Orvieto, Director of the International Institute for Holocaust Research at Yad Vashem, how this impacts Holocaust research and what it may reveal of the Catholic Church's role during World War II.
