The security establishment is on high alert ahead of possible riots on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem's Old City on Friday in the Golden Gate compound which was closed 16 years ago, because of Hamas activity in the area. The Waqf Islamic Trust broke into the compound two weeks ago and since then there have been clashes and arrests. Israel and Jordan are engaged in efforts to defuse the tension.

KAN's Mark Weiss spoke with Pinhas Inbari from the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs about the background to the current friction.
