The trial of the 96-year-old German woman who last week fled the opening of her trial on charges of committing Nazi war crimes and was caught is set to begin, again, on October 19th. Irmgard Furchner is accused of having contributed to the murder of more than 11 thousand people when she was a typist for the commander of the Stutthof concentration camp in the Second World War. Reporter Arieh O'Sullivan spoke with Efraim Zuroff, chief Nazi hunter of the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s office in Jerusalem, about the efforts to bring living Nazis to trial and the rewriting of history being made in Eastern Europe to produce a false narrative of the Holocaust.
