Yotam Polizer, CEO of the Israeli humanitarian aid organization, IsraAID, has been named the 2023 recipient of the Charles Bronfman Prize. The annual award, which comes with a 100,000 dollar prize, is presented to a humanitarian whose work, informed by Jewish values, has significantly impacted the world. The 39-year-old Polizer, 39, has been with IsraAID for over a decade, leading relief missions across the globe including most recently in Afghanistan and Ukraine. He spoke with reporter Arieh O’Sullivan from the Caribbean island of Dominica, which is still recovering from a violent hurricane. Polizer said he is "thrilled and honored” to receive the award which he said was a major recognition of IsraAID’s work.
