The attorney general has directed the state to cut daycare subsidies for haredi Orthodox families in which the father who is designated for military service fails to report for duty, as they are no longer eligible for such support. Dr. Gilad Malach,  research fellow in the Ultra-Orthodox in Israel Program at the Israel Democracy Institute, spoke to KAN reporter Naomi Segal.
